SASS Cowboy Action Shooting at Canby Rod & Gun Club
Located at 25011 S Molalla Forest Road, Canby, Oregon
First Saturday of the month - March through November
Registration - 8:00 AM at the clubhouse
Shooting to start at 9:00 AM
If you are interested in learning about cowboy action shooting visit the SASS (Single Action Shooting Society) web site at www.sassnet.com. This is an excellent site which gives you information about the guns and gear that will be required, period correct clothing, and all sorts of other details.
Orientation:
Cowboy -
First-time shooters are required to complete an orientation class before participating in a match with the Molalla River Rangers. This class will cover the rules and provide a hands-on opportunity to practice shooting a stage, helping you become familiar with the firearms before competing in a match. All other shooters are welcome to take the class as a refresher. We offer this class approximately four times a year, the class cost is $10. Please click HERE to visit the information page.
Wild Bunch -
The Wild Bunch is another discipline within SASS that uses the 1911 pistol instead of the revolvers. We offer an orientation that will introduce you to the rules and the use of the 1911. We offer this class a couple of times a year. Please click HERE to visit the information page.
