FLOOR 2025 - WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Molalla River Rangers needs your help at the Canby Rod & Gun Club

When: Saturday January 17, 2026 from 8:00am -12:00 noon

If you arrive by 8:00am you can sign up in the club house for a free Cutsforth’s Market sandwich lunch provided by the gun club.

The Issue:

On December 16, 2025 we suffered severe flooding of the Gun Club property. We had 5 feet of standing water on the range.  Our oldest Cowboy Trailer, which contains the tables and carpets that we use at all our matches, and the Steel Shed where we store all our steel targets had approximately 2 feet of standing water inside them. 

The newer trailer (Jack a Lope Trailer) which contains all our props appears to have had only about 1½” inches of water seep into it.  Luckily our props didn’t suffer any real damage.

We have had fans and heaters working 24-7 to dry things out and a number of water damaged items have already been thrown away.  Both trailers and the Steel Shed have dried out to the point where they can be cleaned.  We need to remove all the rest of the contents affected by the flooding, clean them, and then store them back into the trailers and Steel Shed. 

On January 17th the CRGC is also having a general work party from 8am-12noon.  The range will be closed during this time.  Most of the CRGC general work party will be focusing on the issues on the gun club property and their buildings. 

The MRR work party’s 1st priority is to clean the main Cowboy Trailer and all the tables and other items in it that we use during our monthly matches and then place them back into the trailer.  Depending how things go we might be able to clean up things in the Steel Shed.  

The Jack a Lope trailer, both plate racks and the target stands will have to wait their turn for clean up on another day. Both the plate racks and the target stands were submerged and gathered a lot of debris.

I will bring my pressure washer and other tools to help clean up.  I suggest you bring gloves and feel free to bring anything you have that could assist in the clean up.
